Rigmor of cyrodiil le Patch#
If there does seem to be some weirdness to the load order such as a patch being above it's master, that is probably an expanded merge. Well I guess the count is actually 436 esps. I just thought I would contribute to the conversation. I will expand my load order and post it here in a spoiler tag in case someone is working on this and it is helpful. The not always ones are fairly rare though. I find it happens mostly on cell changes though not always. I have a fairly heavily modded game, probably around 350 or more esps merged to 215 there-abouts I also am running dyndolod. I also don't believe it is texture/mesh related. 1/2 an hour as opposed to the normal, of over 2 hours of play. It takes a while of playing normally, though I just had one that was rather earlier then the usual. There doesn't seem to be any ryme or reason or common denominator other then playing for a time. I also am having occasional infinite loading screens.

Part of the joy of building a Modlist like STEP is the learning. Wabbajack is always an option for people who don't want to get their hands dirty.

Step taught me a lot about how to properly play that game, and I still think it should be part of STEPs mandate.

It is teaching us how to mod by example while we still have a hand to hang onto, and not doing all the difficult stuff for us. Some of that great work is making us get into the muddy water to get things done. My point in this comment is this: You guys do great work. I went on from there to do other builds and learn other stuff, but the basics of what I learned in that muddy water stayed. What I found so rewarding, was the amount I learned about modding in general. It was the very first build I ever made based on somebody elses modlist. It was the same, Step held our hands, but still made us wade into the muddy water to get the job done. Then I expanded on the core build and installed one of the addon builds. I learned a lot from that build, because while you guys held our hands through the tough stuff, we still had to wade into the muddy water to get it done. Near the start of my modding journey, I did the STEP build in LE. I have a couple of observations I thought worth sharing. It's always nice to see new stuff from Step. It has no investment in the modding community and could disappear at any time without any real warning.

I also don't see Mega (or sites like it) as a viable or reliable download location. And I would happily pay for an account to see it happen. Nexus has a platform that has spoiled us perhaps, but any true competition to Nexus would have to follow suite. Unfortunately, I don't see moddb, Tes Alliance or AFK Mods as versatile enough. i have a premium account at Nexus, and i would be willing to pay another account for a reliable and versatile account somewhere else.

Nexus is by far the nicest most versatile platform, but it would be very nice to see a real competetor. I have accounts at moddb, AFK Mods Tes Alliance and Nexus. I could play basically, the entire game and never start unbound, thus having Helgen as an intact community. It also doesn't immediately destroy Helgen, or start unbound. It give you all the versatility of ASLAL and more. A very viable alternative to ASLAL which I am actually finding much nicer, is Alternative Perspective.
